Version Changes

v1 Uploads (including screen + camera and while recording), processing options (quality, trim, redactions), edits (stitch, splice, cut), reprocess, cancel, structured errors, up-front validation with details, and dry runs.

v1, Oct 2026 Screen + camera layouts (picture-in-picture corners and sizes, side by side). Paid plans with overage billing, the overage cap and usage emails. Captions (captions option and status field). List results gain outcome, endedAt, durationSeconds and height. Playback links for every plan (playbackUrl, posterPlaybackUrl, playbackExpiresAt) with lifetimes sized to the video and ?linkTtl=; streaming links follow the same lifetime (previously a fixed 6 hours). Allowed domains. video.ready webhooks carry the playback links and captions. Embeddable player (PUT /videos/{id}/embed) and the <video-piper> web component. Changes within v1 only add things (new fields, new error codes) and never remove or rename existing ones.
